Neighborhood associations celebrate both initiatives
The City Council begins shortly the cobblestone of the streets of the Old Town and prepares the sewer project of Finca Barrina
The Councilors of Citizen Participation, Ana Pellicer, and Works, José Ramón González de Zárate, held on Thursday two work meetings, complemented with visits to the places in question, with the neighborhood associations of the Old Town and Finca Barrina. The Vice-Presidents of the Neighborhood Council, Teresa Garrido and Manuel Sánchez Notario participated.
In the Old Town the neighbors have raised to the councillor very specific issues of street cleaning, aspects of the Municipal Ordinances and road decoration. The president, Pepa Orozco, has insisted on the efficiency of the flushing operations, moving the Councilor for Works, González de Zárate, the highlights of the flushing and road cleaning operations, with “the particularities of strengthening the service in concrete areas ”, as well as the beginning“ of cobblestone actions that will begin in the next few days from Condestable Zaragoza Street, ”when this Monday begins to operate an extension of the Works Brigade that will act in that and in the immediate roads“ configuring these streets in a single platform ”(sidewalks and driveway at the same level), which reinforces the Accessibility Plan.
The Councilwoman Ana Pellicer, on the walk with the neighborhood delegation through the streets of the Old Town, said "that the ornamental actions will be undertaken immediately" despite the key moment of the summer season in which we are now.
Next, a visit to the area of Finca Barrina, with the Association of Neighbors of the same, where its president, Fernando Montes, raised the most peremptory needs and on which he has acted immediately referred to the gardening and hedge of the roundabouts, the perimeter of the municipal park in the area, lighting and publicly owned streets.
González de Zárate has indicated “the commitment of the City Council to carry out the project for the sewage system and from the same start to work on costs and percentage impact” of the economic costs, being very welcomed by the neighborhood representation.
