Benidorm City Council is preparing a new Employment Workshop which will hire 20 unemployed people over 18 years of age for 12 months. The Councilor for Employment and Local Promotion, Mónica Gómez, explained that "the 'Benidorm XI' Workshop will be developed in two specialities, each of which will have 10 students who, once they have completed the project, will have a certificate of professionalism that will allow them to improve their options of access to the labour market”.

The councillor has advanced that the 'Benidorm XI' Workshop will be developed in the modalities of 'Auxiliary operations in the organization of activities and operation of sports facilities (code AFDA0511) and in 'Auxiliary activities in nurseries, gardens and garden centres' (code AGAO0108), both specialities at level 1. Subsequently, those who pass this level will be able to continue their training at level 2 of both specialities.

Unemployed people interested in participating in this Employment Workshop can register with LABORA as job seekers in the chosen speciality until October 5. Subsequently, the process of assessing candidates and selecting the participants of the Workshop will proceed, which will begin at the end of the year.

Likewise, starting this Wednesday, the 28th, the process to hire the management and teaching staff who will be in charge of the training part of the program will begin with 1 director; two teachers -one by speciality-, 1 support teacher and another for Occupational Risk Prevention. The bases to opt for these positions can be consulted on the Notice Board of the Electronic Office of the City Council (https://sede.benidorm.org/inicio).

For this Employment Workshop 'Benidorm XI', Benidorm City Council has received a subsidy from LABORA of 502,708.80 euros, an amount that will be complemented with municipal resources.
