The councilman of Works explained that the first performance will focus on Plaza de la Constitución, which is planned to replace the road surface from the confluence of Alameda street, Carmela Martínez street and Mayor street to the intersection of Cuatro Esquinas street with Alicante street. The councilman appealed to establishments and residents of Plaza de la Constitución so that over the next three days from the start of work, the collection service can only be performed at the end of each day due to the development of the work. It will also be repaired the pavement of Carmela Martínez street and cobblesin Cuatro Esquinas street, Santa Faz and Alicante streets. The work will also be an improvement in the accessibility of Plaza de la Constitución. The project also includes implanting a railing and a handrail in the Plaza and the elimination of about 20 bollards which will be replaced by flower beds. The works are intended to cause the minimum discomfort and be performed before the long weekend. Once completed the rehabilitation of the Plaza, is scheduled to begin improvement works in the following vials from Paseo de la Carretera, to the Castle, and González de Zárate put special emphasis that "a general review will be done of all the infrastructure and street furniture that may be damaged or defective, like pavers, tiles, curbs, potholes, etc. ". He said that improvements were also made in the area of ​​accessibility of the Castle viewpoint providing a ramp. The works have all the favorable reports of various technical services and the Advisory Council of Urban Scene in which are represented all local groups of the corporation, industry, associations and neighborhood council. Implementation of the project will be borne by the company Pavasal and be funded with 50,000 euros under the Municipal Budget for the suppression of an underground container of the Plaza de la Constitución, as proposed by an amendment of the Liberal Group, to which the Popular Party opposed, and whose money is now to spend on improvements and rehabilitate of the Old Town. The project has been agreed with hotels and restaurants, as well as with neighbors of the Old Town. Zárate recalled that all technical reports advised against the removal of underground container of the Plaza of the Constitution and warned that to do so there would have been about 20 or 30 containers on surface with the consequent deterioration of the image of the urban scene.
