Administration and businessmen improve their contribution in accounts that, for the first time, quantify collaborations in kind
Visit Benidorm approves the 2018 budget, which grows at 140,000 euros and is stood at 1,24 million
The Foundation closes 2017 with 243 actions in 33 countries.
The Board of Visit Benidorm Foundation has approved on Monday the budget of the mixed entity for the year 2018, which grows by 140,000 euros over the previous year and stands at 1,240,000 euros. This increase is due to the fact that both the different administrations and the businessmen have improved their contributions.
In the specific case of the City Council, the municipal contribution will increase by 50,000 euros to reach 550,000; while the hotel management Hosbec will make the payment of 175,000 euros, 25,000 more than in 2017.
In addition, this year in the budget the different promotional collaborations have been quantified that, in kind, make and / or contribute to the Foundation patrons, institutions or collaborating companies, and that translate into 250,000 euros that will be computed in the income section.
The budget includes an increase in investment in promotion in the two main tourist markets of Benidorm: the national and the British.
During the same meeting, the Foundation has also made a summary of the promotional actions carried out in different areas. In total there have been 243 shares - 3% more than the previous year - in 33 countries - four more than in 2016-. Thus, attendance at fairs has increased from 14 to 56, participation in workshops and events, and benefits. The 'presstrips', 'blogtrips' and 'famtrips', on the other hand, have declined slightly as the actions with 'influencers' have strengthened, which have meant important impacts and returns to the destination.
