The students of Benidorm VI Employment Workshop complete their training

27 December 2018
Los alumnos del Taller de Empleo Benidorm VI completan su formación

The students that have participated in Benidorm VI Employment Workshop throughout the year have received this morning from the mayor, Toni Pérez, the diplomas that certify having completed the training and achieved the professional certification necessary to access, with all guarantees, to the labor market.

In the vicinity of Parc de la Séquia Mare, next to the recovered and valued remains of the Reg Major where the students of one of the modules have developed their practical training, the mayor, the councillor of Employment, Mª Jesús Pinto, and the Workshop teachers have reviewed the activities carried out by the 20 members of the program, who have participated in two different training specialties and who have perceived for it the equivalent of the Minimum Interprofessional Salary (SMI).

The first of these subjects has combined two training modules, 'Auxiliary activities of nurseries, gardens and gardening centers' (level 1) and 'Installation and maintenance of gardens and green areas' (level 2), both in the vicinity of Parc de la Séquia Mare, with the objective precisely of putting in value the vestiges that remain of the old irrigation in the city. The students of the second module, 'Local tourism promotion and visitor information' (level 3), have collaborated in the development of the tourist destination and in the management of tourist information services and citizen attention. The members of this training specialty have designed, on the other hand, the brochure 'Un paseo por Benidorm' which have been published 10,000 units, distributed through the municipal offices.

The total cost of Benidorm VI Employment Workshop has been 448,146.67 euros, from which the Valencian Employment and Training Service (Labora) has contributed 389,059.20 euros and the City Council the remaining 59,087.47 euros. A new Employment Workshop, the Benidorm VII, will soon start, which will train another 20 people registered in the city who are unemployed.
