Around 590 students join next course to the school system in Benidorm, which will have three units more for 3 years old

Open the application deadline for Early Childhood and Primary Education

09 May 2019
Abierto el plazo de solicitud de matrícula para Educación Infantil y Primaria

Up to May 17, also admission to the 2-year classrooms enabled by the Consellería

The period of application for enrollment in the 13 public schools and the concerted school in Benidorm for the next academic year 2019/2020 has opened today, according to the mayor, Toni Pérez, who is also in charge of the Education area. The mayor explained that the Department informed by letter of the opening of this term to the families registered in Benidorm whose children were born in 2016, and that therefore they are incorporated this year into the 2nd cycle of Early Childhood Education. In addition, they were sent a booklet with the basic information about the registration process and they were invited to the informative talk that was held last Tuesday in the Assembly Hall.

Pérez has pointed out that "588 children born in Benidorm in 2016", which constitute "the potential population" that will be incorporated into the 3-year-old school system; and has announced that "for the next course 75 new places are offered at this level, since three more units have been enabled in the schools La Cala, Vasco Núñez de Balboa and Mestre Gaspar López".

Previously to publish the offer of places for this level, 72 places have been reserved for the students that during this course already occupies a place in the 2-year classrooms enabled by the Conselleria in four schools, and that "supposedly they will continue their studies in these centers " Likewise, seats have also been reserved for students with special educational needs, which is why there are 497 vacancies in schools maintained with public funds -the 13 public and charter schools-.

The mayor has clarified that "the 2019/2020 course presents a novelty in regard to the public school Bautista Lledó which has a zoning area, which corresponds to Foietes north and not the entire municipal area as had happened in previous courses "

The application deadline for the 2nd cycle of Early Childhood and Primary Education will close on May 17. On May 30, provisional lists will be published in each center, and families will have until June 3 to submit claims to the school's School Board. On June 12, also in the center, the final lists will be published, opening a period of 48 hours for new claims. Finally, from June 13 to July 3 registration must be formalized.

Kindergarten classrooms for 2 years

The mayor recalled that facing the next course Benidorm will again have four classrooms enabled by Conselleria for students of 2 years in schools Aitana, Vasco Nunez de Balboa, Mestre Gaspar Lopez and Puig Campana. The deadline to apply for one of these 72 places of P2 has also started today and will close on May 17. Some places that are added to those offered by the City Council in the network of municipal nursery schools and Early Childhood Care Service.

The deadlines for applying for places in P2 classrooms, publication of lists, claims and formalization of enrollment are the same as for the 2nd cycle of Infant and Primary.

Processing

Pérez has indicated that the applications for the two educational levels can be collected in the Department of Education, or download in the municipal website and in the Conselleria (www.ceice.gva) in the icon 'student admission'. The mayor has stressed that if the registration request is made telematically through the website of the Ministry, families must print it and deliver it in person at the school they have chosen as the first option. At this point, it has meant that "in Benidorm 90% of students obtain a place in the school they have chosen as their first option".

As regards the lists, families will receive provisional and final lists in their mail.
