The New Creators contest of the Department of Youth presents its XXXI edition

El concurso de Nuevos Creadores de la Concejalía de Juventud encara su XXXI edición

The Contest of New Creators of the Department of Youth reaches its thirty-first edition. Thirty-one years of a call that has been presented today to the media by the head of the area, Jaime Jesús Pérez.

With this new call, “the Department of Youth,” said the mayor, “we continue to promote the development of activities that promote the cultural interest of young people. Both from Benidorm and the rest of the country. ” The New Creators "is open to all young people who wish to participate," said Jaime Jesús Pérez.

To participate in the contest, artists must be between the ages of 14 and 35, inclusive. The works must be original, technical, theme and dimension free. They can be both paintings and sculptures. The pictorial works must be presented conditioned for their exhibition. Artists may exhibit a maximum of two works that will be accompanied by name, ID, age, address, telephone number and title.

With the participating works an exhibition will be held from March 6 to April 5 next year at Boca del Calvari museum. Finally, the jury, appointed by the Department, will award a prize of 1,000 euros for the mode of painting and another for sculpture. There will be a special prize endowed with 100 euros for the best work done by a minor.

The New Creators Contest will be publicized throughout Spain through the network of youth information centers; also in the information points of the Secondary Education centers. The bases and inscriptions are available at the Youth Information Center (ICJ) of the Benidorm City Council located on the ground floor of the town hall building.
