The Local Police of Benidorm has celebrated its 173 anniversary in a public event that has taken place in its dependencies of the street Greece that has been presided over by the mayor of the city, Toni Pérez.

In his speech, Toni Pérez, stressed that "Benidorm is a safe city", thanks to the efforts of men and women "committed to the public service" that are part of the Local Police. "Benidorm," said the mayor, "can be proud of many things, and one of them, without a doubt, is the perception of security that it offers to all of us here and to those who visit us."
Commitment to Local Police
Toni Pérez has shown all his commitment and that of the whole corporation with the Local Police. "I am speaking on behalf of all the municipal groups," he emphasized, "if I say that we will continue to mobilize the economic, material and human resources available to us, in order to continue to support in a real and possible way our Local Police on their way to the excellence". In this sense, Pérez recalled the "permanent claim" to provide the Local Police with sufficient troops to fulfill its mission "being constant and necessary to cover the vacancies that are occurring. And in our case, a city that must serve and attend to the needs of a population that at times of the year triples its population, maintain its levels of security and tranquility, is a necessity of vital importance. That is why Pérez has emphasized the 19 seats that will be "recovered and incorporated", thanks to the consensus reached with the trade union centrals, the RPT (List of Jobs) and the immediate incorporation of 10 temporary agents in The Beach Section.
Toni Pérez has insisted on the need to cover the "demands and expectations" of citizens in the area of citizen security because otherwise "this becomes one of the main concerns of citizens."
