Employment encourages young people under 30 to enroll in Youth Guarantee to increase their job and training opportunities
The Department of Employment and Local Development, directed by Mª Jesús Pinto, has encouraged young people under 30 years to enroll in the National Youth Guarantee System, to increase their chances of finding a job and participate in training programs and employment developed by the City Council in collaboration with other administrations, and which are financed with European funds.
Pinto has indicated that "being enrolled in Youth Guarantee is an essential requirement to take part, for example, in the EMCUJU and EMPUJU programs, which in its second edition have allowed the hiring of more than 120 unemployed young people under 30 years of age for a period of 12 months". Some programs that are going to be reissued in 2019 - the Generalitat Valenciana has already published the bases-, and to which Benidorm City Council will return.
To enroll in the Youth Guarantee System and be a beneficiary of it is required, in addition to being under 30 years: have the Spanish nationality -or be a citizen of the European Union, of the States that are part of the European Economic Agreement or Switzerland- ; be registered in any locality of the national territory: and not have received educational or training actions or have worked the day before the date of presentation of the application.
The registration can be done through the electronic DNI on the web of the System - http://www.empleo.gob.es/ca/garantiajuvenil/accesoJovenes.html-, or in person at the Youth Information Center, located in the Plaza SSMM Kings of Spain, from 07.45 to 15.15 hours.
