The EDUSI of Benidorm receives the support of the neighbors of Els Tolls district

The Citizens Platform for Support to EDUSI (Strategy for Sustainable and Integrated Urban Development) in Benidorm has continued to seek the support of its neighbors. Specifically, this morning an information tent has been installed in the neighborhood of Els Tolls in which participated the Councilor for Equality, Paquita Ripoll, together with representatives of the platform and the neighborhood association to explain to citizens the benefits this initiative can lead to the future of the city.

The tent has been installed in Austria street, next to the box office of the Bullring. There, the pedestrians have been informed of the four main characteristics of the project: The implementation of technologies that bring the administration closer to the citizen. Better energy efficiency in buildings, vehicles and infrastructures. Construction of a sustainable environment, concerned with the natural environment. And, finally, a city of solidarity that combats poverty and social inequalities. All these actions, if finally the Benidorm EDUSI project was approved, would receive support and funds from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the European Union.

The exchange of opinions with citizens has generated new proposals to improve Benidorm. The neighbors have particular emphasis on initiatives related to the urban scene, and has completed a survey that will be sent to the editorial team to be valued for eventual inclusion in the project.

As playful and complementary activity, it has been made collectively a canvas of 18 by 3 meters, black base with red and white paintings, which serve as a backdrop to the celebration of International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, on 25 of November, that traditionally organizes the association of neighbors of Els Tolls.
