This initiative already meant last year support for more than 50 entrepreneurs

The Department of Employment and local development increases by 11% grants for the creation of new companies

06 February 2019
La concejalía de Empleo y desarrollo local incrementa en un 11% las ayudas para la creación de nuevas empresas

The Department of Employment and Local Development, headed by the councilwoman Mª Jesús Pinto, has established for the fifth consecutive year, its own line of aid aimed at supporting new business activities in our city. Pinto stressed that "from Benidorm City Council we are aware of the need to promote the implementation of new economic activities that generate employment."

Last year, this project involved helping the implementation of more than 50 entrepreneurs with very different profiles, because throughout the year, aid was granted for an amount exceeding 35,000 euros. Likewise, it is expected that by the year 2019, there will be an increase in the amounts of this aid compared to the previous year with an approved budget of 40,000 euros for this year. This increase represents an increase of 11% with respect to the aid plan of the previous year.

Entrepreneurs wishing to take advantage of these grants will have two possibilities: 400 euros for entrepreneurs whose self-employment has taken place in 2019 and establish themselves as self-employed without specifying a location in which to carry out the activity, or 600 euros for those entrepreneurs who, having been constituted as self-employed, applied for a license to open an establishment in the municipality of Benidorm.

Among the conditions and requirements to qualify for this line of aid are having started the activity as of January 1, be registered, be registered in the register of obligated and in the Special Scheme of Workers and not have figured as a self-employed worker the last six months. However, all documentation and information is available in the offices of the Agency for Employment and Local Development (AEDL), located on the ground floor of City Hall.
