'Som Comerç' and 'Compra en Benidorm' aim to encourage purchases in the city

The Department of Commerce and Consumption initiate two campaigns to promote local commerce in the city

22 November 2019
Las concejalías de Comercio y Consumo inician sendas campañas de promoción del comercio local de la ciudad

The Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs presented this morning at a press conference two local trade promotion campaigns called ‘Som Comerç 'and 'Compra en Benidorm '.

Lorenzo Martínez, Councilor for Commerce, explained that "this campaign that start today is called 'Som Comerç' and comes to replace the one that was carried out since 2017 'Benidorm Fet a Mà', and in which we will continue counting with the collaboration of the students of the Higher Degree in Marketing and Advertising of the IES Pere Maria Orts and Bosch ".

As a novelty of this free promotion campaign, the councilor wanted to highlight the expansion "to the participation of the entire business fabric of Benidorm, in any of its areas, from catering to travel agencies."

The recording of the spots has begun this week and the AICO and AVIBE associations have joined the campaign, Lorenzo Martínez trusting that "other associations are joining, to bring together the entire commerce sector in Benidorm."

Those interested in participating in this project should contact the Department of Commerce through the telephone 96 681 54 21 or email commerce@benidorm.org.

The dissemination of promotional videos will be made through the communication channels and social networks of Benidorm City Council, with more than 60,000 followers as a whole.

Mariló Cebreros, Councilor for Consumer Affairs, has stressed that the promotion of the 'Compra en Benidorm' campaign aims to encourage purchases in our city, benefiting both local commerce and the consumer "by spreading it through the potential of social networks and some punctual action on TV. "
