The road at the intersection of l’Aigüera Avenue with Plaza SSMM Reyes de España is also being fixed with a new material that will reduce maintenance costs

Municipal Technical Services are replacing these days the damaged tiles on Paseo de Levante, one of the busiest and tourist spots in Benidorm. As explained by the mayor, Toni Pérez, "a brigade of municipal Technical Services is in charge of replacing the white marble and pink granite tiles damaged by the passage of time on our Levante promenade." A performance that has started in El Torrejó area and that will continue until the end of Madrid Avenue. "In a normal situation, this action would importune the numerous pedestrians who use the Promenade daily, that is why we have chosen to carry it out at these times when citizens are at home and the development of the improvement does not generate inconvenience and it can be executed faster ”, he added.

The arrangement of the roadway at the intersection of l’Aigüera Avenue with Plaza SSMM Reyes de España, in front of the Central Library, has also been prioritized, “in this case taking advantage not only of the absence of pedestrians but also of vehicles”. The mayor has pointed out that “annually we had to repair this point of cobblestone road, as it suffered greatly from the passage of vehicles. Hence, we have opted to replace this material with printed asphalt that imitates the paving stone, thus considerably reducing maintenance costs, which will no longer be annual. ”
