The blue flag will wave one more year on the beaches of Levante, Poniente and Mal Pas
The blue flag will wave one more year on the beaches of Levante, Poniente and Mal Pas in Benidorm. The city of Benidorm has renewed for this three beaches this distinctive quality awarded annually by the Foundation of Environmental Education to the sandy areas and ports that meet the most stringent conditions of water quality, information, environmental education, safety, services and facilities.
The councilman of the area, Lorenzo Martinez, has indicated that "in the 'Day of Benidorm' nothing better than waking up with this news" related to "our greatest treasure, the beaches." Martinez pointed out that "although it seems that it is easy to get year after year the renewal of the blue flag for the beaches of Levante, Poniente and Mal Pas", the truth is that this badge "is the result of the continuous effort of the concession companies and the technicians of the City Council to try to follow the path undertaken many years ago and never lower the quality and services of our beaches. "
The head of Playas has added that "if we take into account that Benidorm is a city that lives and grows facing the sea, obviously our beaches have to show the quality that makes them different".
The Valencian Community is the Autonomy with the greatest number of blue flags, with a total of 135 badges. The province of Alicante concentrates almost half of the flags of the region, 71.
