This sector of 131,000 square meters completes the union of Vicente Pérez Devesa Avenue with the Promenade

The local government will approve next week the basic project of parking building and viewpoint that the urbanizing agent of the Partial Plan 2/1 Poniente will build on a municipal plot of that sector, and that will solve the parking problems that occur in the High season area. This was announced today by the City Councilor, Lourdes Caselles, who reported that the project "will be ruled next Monday in the Information Commission" and involves "an investment of more than 950,000 euros that are paid by the developer", TM Group Real estate.

Caselles has stressed that "it is a unique building and work, since it includes a viewpoint from which you can see the entire Paseo de Poniente from a height of more than 30 meters", as well as "a landscape elevator" that will allow parking users access from the same to the first line. The mayor has clarified that "the development agent could have simply paved this municipal plot and make a parking for use, although we understood that it was convenient to make a unique building and provide that area with a viewpoint and an elevator."

This unique parking building will have an area of ​​10,000 square meters and capacity for just over 450 vehicles, which add up to the other 131 that are created in the new roads of the sector and 106 more in front of the commercial tray projected on Vicente Avenue Pérez Devesa.

The mayor recalled that this is one of the works included in the agreement signed between the City Council and the development agent for the development of the sector, which "completes the urbanization of Poniente and the union of Vicente Pérez Devesa Avenue with the Paseo" . Under the agreement, the developer will contribute to the municipal heritage of the land around three million euros that will be translated into works of social interest. Thus, to the construction of this high-rise car park with gazebo and landscape elevator, the planned actions will be joined to prevent the accumulation of water on a plot of about 25,000 square meters destined for public equipment; the construction of Avenida del Moralet in the section that runs through the sector; and the execution of a roundabout on Villajoyosa Avenue at the height of the old Red Cross post.

Caselles has detailed that this roundabout will link through a new road with Vicente Pérez Devesa Avenue, something “essential for the connectivity of the sector and also of the entire Poniente area”.

To these priority works is added the connection of this sector with "the two adjacent areas already urbanized or in the process of urbanization: West Execution Unit and Partial Plan El Murtal II". Connections already made since the urbanization agent of PP 2/1 is the same one that is developing the execution unit of Poniente and that has been in charge of the public equipment area of ​​El Murtal II.

Caselles recalled that 61.50% of the 131,000 square meters that make up the Partial Plan 2/1 Poniente will become parking lots, roads, green areas and public facilities. The sector also has 19,024 square meters for green areas; and 24,928 for public facilities.
