From this Monday, July 25, users of the blue area of Benidorm may pay the service without having to go to a parking meter thanks to the launch of a new payment system through an application for mobile devices.
The councillor for Mobility, José Ramón González de Zárate, explained that both downloading and using this application, called Whoosh !, "is free for users" and is available on Play Store and Apple Store.
Zárate stated that "with this new measure citizens are giving comfort".
Using the application is simple. Simply register and create a user account, select the vehicle license plate, mark where it has been parked with the help of geolocation, indicate the duration of parking and validate the payment. The councillor noted that through this payment system the vehicle can be parked in the same place "for a maximum period of four hours" -the equivalent of two tickets of two hours-.
Approximately ten minutes before the parking time is complete, the application sends the user an alert warning that the subscriber period is about to expire.
Furthermore, Whoosh! also allows payment through a computer from your web www.whoosh.es
For two weeks, the concessionaire of the blue zone, UTE Sice-Auplasa, will conduct an information campaign to inform users of this new payment system. In total, 5,000 leaflets will be edited in Spanish and 2,000 in English, will be distributed in hotels, shops and vehicles parked in blue area.
