Benidorm hosts the first International Health Fair this weekend
The councillor Ana Pellicer has presented today, along with Javier Díaz, president of the Spanish Association against Smoking and Cancer, and Francisco Pérez Candel, head of the Department of Health, the exhibition Exposalud that will take place this weekend in Benidorm.
This first International Health Fair in Benidorm is organized by the Spanish Association Against Smoking and Cancer with the sponsorship of Benidorm City Council in collaboration with the Health Area of UICASDE and the participation of International NGOs.
Pellicer highlighted that "entry is free and free" and that "it is a fair whose purpose is awareness, awareness and prevention." The Exposalud program aims to help citizens in a personal, individual and direct way to assess how to take care of their health and how to prevent different diseases taking into account four basic aspects: physical, mental, emotional and social.
On the other hand Javier Díaz indicated that "we are going to deal in Exposalud two very important factors as they are: the well-being and the TCA (disorder of alimentary conduct)". Exposalud is a journey where "we will try to recreate the importance of healthy habits in a simple way". The event will involve between 110 and 120 volunteers, as well as health personnel.
The head of the Department of Health, Francisco Perez, reiterated that "the event will take place in Gambo Street to reach many more people, as it is an important transit area", and added that the ideal is that citizenship " can participate actively in the event. "
Exposalud Fair will be held tomorrow, Saturday, October 27 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 28, from 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
This event is suitable both for children and adults with a wide variety of activities, fun and educational games for the little ones to learn the importance of food and health. Pellicer announced that "we keep a very special surprise for the little ones".
