Benidorm is "a destination of illusion for life"
This morning, a representation of the Cultural Association of the Elderly of Fuenlabrada, ACUMAFU, which has been in Benidorm since yesterday, has been received by the Mayor Toni Pérez. From Fuenlabrada they had programmed a series of organized trips for seniors with stays in hotels in Benidorm and they have been the pioneers. Yesterday they were the target of national media attention for their initiative.
Toni Pérez, upon receiving them, today praised this initiative that makes it possible to "enjoy Benidorm safely" and wished them "a very happy stay" in Benidorm, he said, "that you are going to find very changed and that it is extraordinary to enjoy it ”.
The mayor described the experience as "unique" and highlighted "the courage" of ACUMAFU in organizing what is the first group trip organized for the autumn, highlighting that "the covid does not have to transform all aspects of our lives ; we can adapt some of them with safety and self-protection measures ”. Toni Pérez explained to them that "Benidorm is a destination full of enthusiasm for life, always healthy" that encourages, he emphasized, "the will to live."
The mayor, after talking with the delegation, insisted that "right now Benidorm is open and safe, offering happiness and more safety than many of the points of origin of our visitors" and highlighted the active and effective contribution of the tourism sector, " complying with all sanitary protocols ”, like all the city's services, and highlighting its beaches:“ together with our good climate, we offer safe beaches, for everyone and every day ”.
For ACUMAFU, its president, Marcelo Cornellá, pointed out the commitment "to safe tourism and to Benidorm", highlighting that "if we protect ourselves we will lead a life as normalized as possible." And in this normalization the holidays enter "as the best medicine" and the main destination: "Benidorm".
Cornellá explained the travel initiative proposed by his association and invited others to do so "to promote tourism" and "to share solidarity." They consider from ACUMAFU that with their initiative "we show that it is safe to travel" and they have thanked Grupo Hoteles Alameda for their collaboration in this adventure for the elderly tourism that is transferable "to other groups and destinations".
Cárlos Párraga, general manager of the hotel group was "satisfied with the experience", considering it as "social coherence" and highlighting the efforts of the hotels and Benidorm to ensure the best sanitary conditions "for a safer and more possible destination", always appealing "to the responsibility of all".
