This Saturday Palau d'Esports has hosted for the first time one of the most emotional events in the city: the coronation of the queens of the Major Patron Saint Festivities. A ceremony that was filled with audiences to crown the new queens, Àngela Antón Pérez and the young girl Anna Galiana Pérez who from now on have become the top festival representatives of Benidorm.

Anabel Llorca Seguí and Pepe López Aperador were in charge of presenting the event, beginning with the presence of the president Antonio Vicente Fuster Llinares, the banner of the commission carried by Francisco Llorens and the standard bearer Richard Romero.

Subsequently, the nineteen young ladies and thirteen young ladies who make up the Court of Honor went on stage accompanied by their relatives, being presented along with the future queens, who arrived from the arm of her brother and cousin respectively.

After the coronation, the president of the Commission presented the badge of Honor to the mayor Toni Pérez, and this one in turn to the Queens and to the president. The councilman of Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles also presented to the salient queens a replica of the crowns.

This year the presenter of the event was José Pagés López, who made an extensive review for what were the patron saint festivities in the 50s highlighting the passion with which they lived and the fervor towards the Mare de Deu Sofratge and Sant Jaume .

The mayor Toni Pérez closed the act congratulating the new queens and thanking the outgoing queens for the magnificent reign they have been representing in the city. The new queens received the tribute of the festive entities and associations of Benidorm.
