The Bay of Benidorm will host the I Regatta of Suma Felucca League.

This Saturday, March 13, at 9:00 in the morning, the first Regatta of Suma de Falucho de Medio Fondo League will be held in the Bay of Benidorm in the youth and veteran categories, organized by the Rowing Federation of the Valencian Community and the Club Náutico de Benidorm in collaboration with the Sports Department.

The person in charge of the department, Mariló Cebreros, has presented the event today, together with the president of the Benidorm Yacht Club, Jaime Samper, placing special emphasis on "the strict health security measures" established to protect all participating athletes who delimit the areas assigned to the boats, the commons and the corridors of circulation within the enclosure. "Measures - she has specified - that guarantee strict interpersonal separation" and that contemplate "disinfection equipment for the interior of the boats."

Cebreros has confirmed the participation of 11 clubs and 20 teams. "A total of 200 athletes" who will compete in the youth and veteran modalities, in male and female categories. On his part, Jaime Samper has confirmed the registration of Club Náutico de Benidorm with a veteran men's team.

The weather forecast points to a sunny day with winds of about six knots of intensity from the southeast. "Which augurs - Cebreros has pointed out - that they will be highly disputed tests". The organization has planned that the outings take place in fleet "which can complicate the work of the referees but will guarantee maximum excitement".

The feluccas will start at Cable Sky. The boats will head towards the Cala del Ti Ximo where they will turn to starboard towards the port. An approximate route of 5,000 meters.

Cebreros and Samper have encouraged the entire population and those who visit us to enjoy an "exciting" day of nautical sports in which crews of newcomers and veterans will measure themselves and give it their all in the I Regatta of Suma de Falucho League.
