The department of Education and Culture today held the awards ceremony of the 8th Christmas Cards Competition in the assembly hall Benidorm Town Hall, an event chaired by the mayor and delegate of Education, Toni Pérez, the councilwoman of Culture, Ana Pellicer, and attended by numerous councilors of the municipal corporation representing all political groups of the consistory. In the contest have participated students of second cycle of Infantile and Primary Education of all the schools of Benidorm. The objective of the contest is to promote values ​​such as coexistence, participation and artistic creation among schoolchildren in the city. Toni Pérez put in value "the illusion that have put all the participants, those who have obtained a prize and those who do not", and remembered that the councilors of the corporation will congratulate Christmas with these postcards, that already are exposed in the City Hall.

Awarded for cycles

In the Early Childhood category the first prize was for Yasmin Brooks (5 years) of CEIP Serra Gelada, second prize for Sandra Valverde Guillén (4 years) CEIP Leonor Canalejas, and the third prize for Yoana de Smet (4 years ) of the Lope de Vega. There was also a runner-up for Álvaro Vidal Goncharenko (3 years) from CEIP Miguel Hernández. In the category of 1º and 2º of Primary Education the first prize has been for Mateo García Oveja of 2º of the CEIP Ausiàs March, the second prize for Eva Maestre Albero of 2º of the CEIP the Murtal and the third prize for Sergio Martínez Sánchez of 2º of Nuestra Señora de los Dolores. In this category has also been given a runner-up to Álvaro Monteagudo Rodríguez de 1º del CEIP Miguel Hernández. In the category of 3º and 4º of Primary Education the first prize was Lorena Perles Sanz of 4º of the C.I. Lope de Vega, the second prize for Jordi Pau Ramos Pérez, 4th of Ntra. Sra. de los Dolores, and the third prize for Anna Calbo García, 3rd of CEIP Ausiàs March. In this category was awarded an accésit prize for Hugo Astillero Egido of 4º of the CEIP Els Tolls. Finally, in the 5th and 6th category of Primary Education the first prize went to Olga Badica of 6th of CEIP Gabriel Miró, the second prize for Iker Martínez Muñoz of 6º of CEIP Ausiàs March, and the third prize for Shu Hang Pan 6th CI Lope de Vega. In this category have been awarded two runners-up for Pilar Sánchez Bernalte of 5º of CEIP Bautista Lledó and Rocío Manzaneda Ruano of 6º of CEIP Mestre Gaspar López.
