Benidorm will host, for the second consecutive year, Costa Blanca Camp organized by Lions Club with the collaboration of the Department of Social Welfare of Benidorm Town Hall. This has been announced today by the acting councilor, Ángela Llorca, at a press conference attended by the president of the entity, Pilar Ribagorda and the Association of Disabled People of Benidorm (Asmibe), Mª Agripina Fernandez and others companions.

"Lions Costablanca Camp - said Llorca - is a youth exchange project that will host 25 boys and girls from around the world." The acting councillor has also announced that "for the first time" Lions Club has invited two young people "with functional diversity, Leti and Juan Manuel, members of Asmibe and students of the TAPIS (Pre-Labor Social Insertion Workshop), Benidorm" that they participate "accompanied by their mothers in a similar event that will take place in Italy".

For its part, the president of Lions Club has indicated that this call will serve to "bring the name of Benidorm to 20 countries of the world" and that young people from Benidorm will also travel to these countries, in exchange, to learn about the culture and reality that there are beyond our borders. In this sense, Ana Pérez, of the local board of Lion Club, recalled that exchanges have been made by the entity "for 100 years" and that among the participants "" friendship links are created with other young people from all over the world. world "that accompanies them throughout their lives.

Finally, Mª Agripina Fernández thanked Lion Club and the City Council for the support received that will make it possible for two of her partners, accompanied by their carers, to know the reality of other countries because it will be "a unique experience for them and their families" and hopes that the initiative has continuity next year and the following years.
