The tournament is expected to have an impact of 5,000 overnight stays

Starting tomorrow, Friday, April 28th, the eighth edition of the Costa Blanca Basket Cup will be held, which will bring together 1,650 players from 121 clubs from Madrid, Murcia, Castilla-La Mancha, Catalonia, the Balearic Islands and the Balearic Islands. Regarding the tournament, Pellicer has pointed out that it will be a very "good opportunity" to see players "from the best quarries in one of the most important training tournaments on the national and international scene."

A fifth seat

Mª Carmen Burgos recalled the beginnings of the Basket Cup in which they competed "10 or 12 teams and in a single category" and at the present time they will participate "from benjamines to seniors". The increase of sportsmen has forced the organization to expand to a fifth venue in this edition. Burgos has appreciated very positively the reception that has the tournament among lovers of this sport. "It has been very easy contact," he said, "because they practically repeat year after year," in fact many times it is the clubs themselves that "get in touch with us to participate".

For his part, José Antonio Morán recalled that the Costa Blanca Basket Cup is an event that "is in the forefront of national and international tournaments." The president of the Club Baloncesto Benidorm has highlighted that it is played in "an unbeatable scenario as is the city of Benidorm" and in "excellent" facilities for this sport.
