Police of the whole province debate in Benidorm the future of their profession

08 February 2019
Policías de toda la provincia debaten en Benidorm el futuro de su profesión

A hundred agents of the different police forces of the province have participated this morning, in the Assembly Hall of Benidorm City Council, in the II Police Days. The meeting was organized by the professional platform "Una Policía para el s. XXI ", with the collaboration of the Department of Public Security of Benidorm City Council.

The councilor of the area, Lorenzo Martínez, was in charge of opening the conference and welcoming the attendees. Next, Ernesto Pérez Vera, author of the book 'En la línea de fuego', an officer of the local police of La Línea (Cádiz) who was forced to leave the body after being hit by criminals leaving him badly wounded, has presented his work. A volume that aims to give visibility to the problems of the sector, focusing on the violence that can threaten police officers during the performance of their work.

After Pérez Vera, Samuel Vázquez, member of the National Police Corps, component of the GOR (Response Operative Group), criminologist and promoter of the platform, has exposed this professional initiative that aims to lay the foundations of a new police model for the future and at the service of society.
