Representatives from different political groups and public workers participated.

Last Saturday, October 6, a 42-year-old woman was shot to death, allegedly by her partner of 53, in the Girona town of Sant Joan les Fonts. After the crime, the man escaped and ran over one of the victim's daughters who remains stable at Josep Trueta hospital in Girona. Subsequently, the alleged aggressor committed suicide by hanging himself in a nearby rural area.

The department of Equality reminds women who may be facing a case of abuse, go to municipal services and also use the toll-free number 016 against gender violence. The call is not reflected in the telephone bill but it is advisable to delete it from the list of calls from mobile phones.
