Benidorm activates on Thursday the web platform to reserve a plot on Levante beach
Poniente and Mal Pas will continue working as before, and it will not be necessary to reserve just to take a swim. The hours of beaches are extended until 9:30 p.m. and accesses to 39.
Starting next Friday, the 17th, it will be necessary to reserve a plot to spend a day at Levante beach. The mayor, Toni Pérez, reported today that for this purpose, this Thursday, July 16, at noon the web booking platform included in 'Benidorm Beach Safety' project will be activated, which will allow users to choose the area, plot and time (day complete, morning or afternoon). After completing the reservation form at www.benidormbeachsafety.es/, the user will receive by email a link to download their ticket or ‘passbook’, which they must present upon arrival at the corresponding access point.
As explained by the mayor, the web platform is reinforced “with three physical points of attention and information in El Torrejó building, and on the promenade at the height of Europa Avenue and Rincón de Loix where, in addition to resolve incidents, those who do not have the resources or technological accessibility may also make their reservation ”. Some physical points that will be operational from Thursday at 12 noon for those who want to make their reservation for the day on Friday 17.
Toni Pérez stressed that "at this time, the platform is exclusively activated to reserve a plot on Levante beach", which is the one with the highest demand and where the need to order the flow and capacity of users has been detected "so that all people can enjoy the beach". Mal Pas and Poniente beaches will continue to operate "as until now, as long as the flow of demand does not require the use of the platform." Nor will it be necessary to book when you only go to enjoy the bath between 09:00 and 21:30 without staying on the sand, being able to access the beach through the access points and leaving their belongings in the space indicated by the staff of access control.
This system of reservations and capacity control included in Benidorm Beach Safety project “means that in addition to possibly offering the safest beaches in Europe”, which since its reopening on June 15 have already seen “more than 381,000 people”, with daily peaks "above 29,000 attendees," now we can continue to guarantee these beaches for everyone, every day. "
Changes in the green zone and times
The mayor has also communicated that "the green area, until now reserved for over 60 years, is also extended to vulnerable people." Both groups will be able "at their will" to choose a plot in this area, or to do so in the blue spaces provided for the general population.
Likewise, "the hours for walking and swimming are maintained from 07.00 to 08.45" and from Friday "the stay on beaches is extended". In this way, beaches will open at 9:00 am and will operate continuously until 9:30 pm. The number of accesses available on the three beaches is also expanded to 39.
Daily, at 12.00 pm, the parcel reservation process for the following day will open at www.benidormbeachsafety.es. In addition, reservations may be made at any time for the same day. Users can book a full day at the beach, or opt to enjoy Levante beach in the morning, from 09:00 to 15:00, or in the afternoon, between 15:00 and 21:30.
