From this morning the commemorative banner that formally announces the beginning of the activities that the Department of Equality, directed by Ángela Zaragozí, has scheduled on the occasion of the celebration of March 8, International Day of the woman.

This afternoon, in Levante Hall of Melià Villaitana Hotel, the concert 'Music for equality' will take place at 19.30, framed within the twentieth Meeting of Women of the Marina Baixa that this year is based in Benidorm and in which they participate the equality departments of the municipalities that make up the Regional Council of Women of the Marina Baixa.

The concert will involve more than 60 women musicians, members of the three bands of Benidorm and the Municipal Professional Conservatory of Music ‘José Pérez Barceló’, directed by Irene Isabel García Esteban.

On Monday, the 9th, at 8:00 p.m. the conference ‘Women and Don Quixote’ will be held by Manuel Palazón, in the City Hall. On Tuesday 10, theater with ‘The apothecary's genius’, at 8:00 p.m., by Catharsis Group, on the same stage. On Wednesday 11, it will be the day of the Festival of the Housewives of Benidorm, from 6 pm in the same municipal hall. On Tuesday 17, at ‘El Torrejó’ Municipal Center, the book ‘Various diverse women will be presented. Resilience, empowerment and oblivion ’, by Carmen Calvo Novell. The events of March 8 in Benidorm will end with the screening of the documentary ‘Will be a man’, by Isabel de Ocampo and the subsequent colloquium that will take place in the City Hall.
