Cerca de 500 jóvenes participarán en los XXI Juegos Deportivos Adaptados de Asmibe

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, along with the Councilor for Sports, Arturo Cabrillo and the president of ASMIBE Association, María Fernández, have announced this morning the details of the XXI Adapted Sports Games of ASMIBE (Association of Disabled People of Benidorm) that will take place one more year on the athletics tracks of the Municipal Sports City 'Guillermo Amor' starting on Thursday, May 16 at 10.30 in the morning.

Toni Pérez commented that "these adapted sports games are a showcase of solidarity and inclusion of  people of Benidorm". This edition again breaks barriers in the sport "not only with the young people linked to special education centers," he added, "but also with compulsory secondary education centers winning in inclusion"

For its part, the president of the association recalled that "we have been doing this activity for 21 consecutive years and every year with more success." Sports games "adapted for people with different abilities". This year the sport will have an inclusive character "thanks to the participation of the 120 ESO students together with the special education schools, centers and associations". Around 500 young people will participate in "this exciting and fun event" with a total of 17 centers in the province. He also stressed that "it is about games, there is no competition" in which all the boys "will be winners" and that for all "there will be a medal".

Finally, María Fernández wished to thank "the support of all the companies and institutions that make this event possible" like Benidorm City Council, the Department of Social Welfare and Sports, TAFAD of C.I. Lope de Vega, Projecte T'AVALEM, Red Cross, Iberian Partner-Coca-Cola, Bobante Distributions, Cubi-Playa, José Carrillo e Hijos, ALE-HOP, TIGER, Terra Mitica Foundation and Terra Natura-Aqua Natura " .
