The deadline is open to formalize the registration in Benidorm for a 3-year-old children in public schools and the catholic school

70 schoolchildren start today the Summer Educational Support Program (PAEV)

70 menores de Primaria inician hoy el Programa de Apoyo Educativo de Verano (PAEV)

70 school children from Primary schools in Benidorm have started classes today for the Summer Educational Support Program (PAEV), which this year is held at CEIP Ausiàs March school and is aimed at "helping students who need a school reinforcement to start the next year in better conditions, especially after the development of the last term without a face-to-face school ”, as recalled by the councilor of the area, Maite Moreno.

Moreno explained that this program is "free for families" and includes "two hours of class per day, in which the students of each course will reinforce curricular subjects -such as Mathematics, Spanish, Valencian and English-, and will study techniques , attention games and verbal and mathematical reasoning ”.

The councillor stressed that PAEV has been adapted "to the new situation generated by the Covid-19, which has meant a reduction in the number of students per group to ensure compliance with the safety distance." Specifically, the 1st and 2nd Primary groups have eight places each; while in those from 3rd to 6th the ratio is 10 students. However, "due to demand, we have doubled the number of groups in the section from 3rd to 6th year in order to serve more students, while there are still vacancies in several of these courses," he pointed out.

On the other hand, Moreno reported that "once the definitive lists of admitted students have been published, today the registration period has been opened for students who join the 3-year Early Childhood education system in public and catholic schools" . The term will be open until July 29 and the process must be done at the school. The head of Education recalled that "the formalization of enrollment is an essential process that families must carry out, since otherwise the place is lost."

Moreno recalled that "the twelve public schools and the center of Benidorm have received 388 applications for a place for Early Childhood Education for 3 years for the 2020/2021 academic year, to which the students who already had a reserved place in the classrooms of 3-year-olds, either because this course was already enrolled in the P2 units offered by the Conselleria in four schools, or because they present special educational needs ”.
