Víctor Teuler Pérez gana el XIX Concurso de Música de Benidorm

The councillor of culture, Ana Pellicer, presided over the closing of the XXIX International Music Course of Benidorm and the awards ceremony of the XIX Music Competition

Víctor Teuler Pérez has been the winner of the XIX Music Competition of Benidorm, which this year has been held in the trombone specialty, and has received from the councillor of Culture, Ana Pellicer, the Special Prize of the City Council: an inaugural concert remunerated from the International Course next year, in addition to other prizes donated by the entities and sponsors who have collaborated in the organization of the contest.

The second prize, endowed with 500 euros and gifts, has been for Felipe Juan Lanuza Morales; while the third prize, endowed with 200 euros and gifts, has been for Jesús La Serna Ruíz. In the awards ceremony have participated, along with Ana Pellicer, the councillor Arturo Cabrillo; the course director, José Fuster Lloret; professors Vicent Llimerá and Ricardo Llorca; and F. Mañas on behalf of one of the sponsors, Prince Park Hotel.

Ana Pellicer stressed that "it is an honor for us to offer students from Benidorm and all of Spain the possibility of participating in courses at such level", and stressed that "the success of this course is the involvement of all" from the Jose Pérez Barceló municipal conservatory to the Consellería de Cultura, passing by teachers, students and sponsors. The mayor concluded by congratulating the winner of this year, who then starred in the first performance of the closing concert of the courses.

A week of music

For a week Benidorm has gathered at the XXIX International Music Course some of the best teachers of various specialties and high-level students from all over Spain. This edition has focused on four instrumental specialties: trombone, piano, oboe and cello. The classes of these specialties have been given by Juan Carlos Matamoros, trombone soloist of the National Orchestra of Spain (OCNE); Ana Guijarro, professor of piano at the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid; Vicent Llimera, professor of oboe at the Conservatory of Music of Valencia; And Michal Dmochowsky, assistant professor at the Reina Sofia High School of Music and cello teacher at the Conservatorio Jacinto Guerrero de Toledo.

Ricardo Llorca, a professor at 'The Juilliard School', 'Queen Sofia Spanish Institute' in New York and composer in residence at the 'New York Opera Society', has been added to these four specialties. . The sponsors of the course have been: Editorial Peris, Consolat del Mar, Custom Pro and Hotel Prince Park.
