40 unemployed women over 45 participate in a Labour Guidance Program
The Employment councilwoman María Jesús Pinto, has made a visit this morning to the Training Centre for Employment 'Pepita Puchades' where the Labor Orientation program for over 45 unemployed women is being developed..
This project is funded by Obra Social La Caixa with 10,000 euros.
María Jesús Pinto said after the experience that "this program was planned by finding that among those people registered in the SERVEF, [Valencian Employment and Training Service] in Benidorm, women over 44 accounted for about one third of the total" . According to the councilwoman for Employment, the program aims to "promote the comprehensive treatment of the needs of the participating women, improve their social and labor and personal situation, to propose guidelines for coordination of services and resources of labor and social inclusion in Benidorm and propose instrumental tools for its application in the process of social and professional integration" among others.
The Employment councilwoman was accompanied in her visit by staff of the department and Gemma Llorens, technical manager responsible for the program.
